Kara Campbell

I’m writing this blog post towards the end of my third full week as an ISM 1 student, and, may I just say, it has been quite the experience. Despite being warned multiple times by Coach Goff about how the workload and the information overload at the beginning of this course can quite possibly give me a heart attack, I still feel a tad bit overwhelmed. It seems like- to put it in simple terms- a lot. I haven’t yet begun to write my first Research Assessments or anything yet, but I have created my Linkedin profile and my digital portfolio and they have already, within the short span of a week, reaped benefits for me. I’m very excited for how this class is going to benefit me in the future and I absolutely cannot wait to find a mentor and begin experiencing things in the work world. I am going to be researching physical therapy, specifically physical therapy for injured athletes such as myself. There is a lot that is still up in the air about how this year can play out due to the massive changes coronavirus has brought upon our school and daily life, but I have very high hopes that this will be an incredible opportunity leading to endless possibilities for me. This year is undoubtedly going to be different and most likely harder than any ISM course in the past, but I’m prepared and excited for the challenges and experiences to come.
