THE PSAT AND SCOTT JONES

I have now come to the realization that a ‘normal’ week in this class hardly exists. This week was another crazy one. We had the PSAT on Wednesday, and, as a junior, I took it and it made my whole week feel messed up. I almost completely forgot about my interview (but I didn’t, I was still early, prepared and dressed professionally) with Mr. Scott Jones. Mr. Jones is the husband of my personal trainer, Krishna Jones. And during this interview, I learned something that completely altered my thoughts on becoming a physical therapist. I learned a lot about how similar physical therapy and personal training can be, but the main difference that Mr. Jones pointed out was that personal training gives you a more one-on-one situation, which he likes a lot. I discovered that I, too, enjoy the prospect of something like that. I am confident in the fact that I want my career to be kinetic, and I am fascinated about the human body and I would love to work with it for a living. But this week I discovered that my field expands wider, much wider, than I had originally thought. Now that I’ve been made aware of this, I only wonder more about what will happen in my future career.
