MY FIRST INTERVIEW

This past week in ISM has been absolutely crazy! While I am a little bit swamped and overwhelmed by all of this new information, I can easily say that the only feeling I have towards all of it is excitement! I took my first big lead in this class this week when I conducted my first ever research interview. It went incredibly well. Her name is Emma Klopatek, and she is currently studying to become a pediatric physical therapist at Belmont College in Nashville, Tennessee. She is sweet, smart, and insanely ambitious and she had a lot of wonderful insight. From her, I learned a lot about what college is like for an aspiring physical therapist. She gave me advice on what classes to take in both the rest of high school and in college that would help me to prepare for everything. Conducting my first research interview was exhilarating. I was so nervous my hands were shaking at the start of the interview! But the longer the interview went on, I began to feel more comfortable and I think Emma and I had a wonderful interview and a great discussion about the topic we both feel so passionate about - physical therapy. I have no doubts that my next week in ISM will be just as wild and insightful.
