Working From Home

This week was another very unusual one in ISM. The snow storm from last week really messed up everything in FISD, and we have spent the entire week working asynchronously from home. It reminds me, pretty eerily, of the few weeks we spent in lockdown after spring break of last year except at least this time we aren’t in quarantine. I have still been productive from home, though. Earlier on in this week, I wrote a research assessment over an article I found over the FIFA 11+ warm up that Rachel and I previously touched on. The article was a study done over the success of the warm up on different groups of athletes. It was tested on male and female soccer players in many different countries, including Brazil and Japan, as well as on a group of elite male basketball players. Every single group saw improvement in successfully preventing injury, but the percentage differed with young females having the most success. I had the idea to incorporate a better injury prevention warm up for the soccer team last week, but because of all the snow I didn’t get the chance to talk to Rachel about it so I plan on doing it at our mentor visit later this week. I hope next week in ISM returns us to a sense of normalcy.
