THE RESEARCH CONTINUES

It is now the end of this week in ISM, and from just last time alone I have already written and turned in both my first and second ever research assessments. I have also begun reaching out to people on LinkedIn and taking other small steps towards finding a mentor. I do still feel a little overwhelmed by this class, but I am slowly beginning to work out a routine for the workload and I am handling it all well so far. During my research assessments, I have explored my biggest questions about physical therapy as well as the basics of what a first physical therapy appointment looks like. While I am doing this, I am comparing it to my own experiences during my time in physical therapy and noting the similarities and differences. Now that I am more comfortable and confident in this basic knowledge of physical therapy, I think I will dive deeper into what the process of becoming a physical therapist is like - college, physical therapy school, obtaining a license, and whatever other steps there are that I’m not yet aware of. This whole process is all very exciting to me, and I am very eager to continue to learn more and find a mentor and gain experience. I have very high hopes for myself during this next week in this class.
