This is my first blog entry of the new year! These past two weeks, I have been enjoying my time off of school by relaxing and spending time with my friends and family. I definitely needed the break, because being a junior in high school who plays competitive sports can be very overwhelming and it was nice to be able to turn my brain off for a little while. Of course, there were still a few things to be done in ISM because - let’s face it - when is there not? Over the break, I was in touch with my mentor Rachel who sent me some articles and material to look over in preparation for my first mentor visit. She wants to better familiarize me with human anatomy (starting with my favorite, the ACL ligament) and how it corresponds to physical therapy. I spent some time over the break reading and learning about what she sent me, which I found to be fairly interesting as I could connect the material to my own personal experiences. Over the break, I also made a few small changes to my digital portfolio just to make it a bit more aesthetically pleasing. I had a nice, restful break and enjoyed the holidays, but now I’m ready to get back to work this week in ISM!
